SATURDAY
10.30am, a flyby from a Seaking search and rescue helicopter from HMS Gannet, It circled the Church Hall’s carpark area where the children’s events were in progress.
Activities and events for the children included horse mounted Strathclyde police, safety displays from Dreghorn Fire Brigade, and the 251 Squadron RLC.
Friday Evening Concert
On Friday evening, MAK kicked us off with a jam session in the car park of the Old Castle pub, while the first concert played across the road in the Montgomerie Hall with Kin and the Paul McKenna Band
MAK
Later on Friday night many of the locals from the pub and visitors at the campsite crowded together around a campfire with guitars, drums, whistles, other instruments and vocals! I hit my bed at 1.30am, but did hear later that the sunrise was something to behold.
It was our first year as a village on the Scottish folk circuit.
A big thank you to everyone.

FRIDAY
It was a great weekend. The weather brought us a
clear sky and hot sun, even staying dry until Sunday.
Our 2pm concert in the Montogomerie Hall began with MAK then Elvis was in the building with Dave Leonard’s sensational performance.
The evening concert started with a performance from the band Kin followed on the stage by Dick Gaughan. All events were very well attended.
Jam Sessions were started at the pub car park and continued on the campsite until the wee small hours round the campfire.
